Worries: Just the usual....money, having two kids, sleepness nights....

How I'm Feeling: Fantastic!!

Weekend Recap - February 21-23, 2014

The weekend started off with a relaxing Friday off for me!! I made blueberry muffins for breakfast while Myla chased me around in her jeep...

And then we had play time/tv time....

After that, it was nap time! I love spending the day with Myla and getting to watch her play. And yes, that is our Christmas tree still up in the background. What?! We have better things to do on our weekends than take it down....haha!
On Saturday, we headed to town and had lunch at Allman's BBQ. Man, that place is soooo good!!

Myla had a blast with the menu. We picked a two seater table and Brian and I were scrunched up against the window with our food so that Myla couldn't reach it. I wish I would have taken a picture of that because it was pretty funny! After lunch, we headed downtown to do some shopping. The weather was gorgeous finally and we enjoyed strolling around in and out of stores. Myla loved it and was constantly laughing and kicking her feet.

She was awake. I guess the sun was a bit too much and I didn't even notice when I took the picture. Yep, I'm a loser! We headed home and Myla and I took a 2 hour nap together. We were exhausted from last night when she was awake from 3-5am and then up for the day at 6am....ugh!

On Sunday, we headed to my parents. Dad, Jayden, and I went to Food Lion and Walmart to scoop up all the food we would need for the day. This time we had to bribe Jayden to go with us. Pawpaw told him he would buy him a toy! We came home and hung out on the screened in porch for a while and enjoyed the weather. It was almost 70! Then, James talked us all in to going on a walk. Mom stayed home with Myla because she didn't feel well and Myla had just fallen asleep and of course, Brian kept playing his game. We walked to the beach around the corner from my parents and Jayden played in the sand with 2 little girls who were there. He loved it! We stayed for about 30 minutes then headed back home.

Dad made hamburgers, french fries, cucumbers, and pasta salad for dinner and it was delicious!!! It really made us all wish for spring and summer cookouts! I can't wait!! Hope you all have a great week!

Baby #2 - 13 Weeks

I've decided I want to try to keep up with my growing belly bump and do weekly bumpdates here! So, here is my first. I really wish I would have done this with Myla!

Date: February 20, 2014

Photo Thoughts: A bump or just a belly roll? I feel like it's looking more like a bump lately, but I've also been scarfing down food like crazy so could just be food. HAHA!

Size of Baby: A peach!

Cravings/Aversions: I really LOVE fast food more than any human should, but I've been trying to be good and pack my breakfast and lunch. I'm craving ice coffee everyday, but this week I've only had one! I'm trying to cut it out completely. Other than that, not really craving anything in particular.

What I'm Loving: They I may finally look pregnant and not just chunky. Also, today starts the beginning of the second trimester!!!

What I'm Anticipating: Feeling the baby kick and finding out if it's a boy or girl.

Miss Anything? My ice coffee!

Worries: How is life going to work with two babies under two???? AHHHHH!!!!

How I'm Feeling: So far, so good. No morning sickness or anything. I've been having some killer headaches, but other than that I can't complain.

Sleep: Rough week with Myla being sick. She finally went back to sleeping all night last night, but I was awake at 4am and couldn't go back to sleep...ugh!

Movement: Nothing yet, but I can't wait!!!

Other thoughts: Should we do sneak-a-peek and find out the gender early like we did with Myla or should we wait til 20 weeks for the normal doc ultrasound??

President's Day 2014

We started our holiday Monday off by resting and enjoying breakfast with Myla. Then, we got ready and headed to town for her follow-up flu appointment. Her flu looks like it's gone and the doc says she is good to go. However, I did ask about a weird small rash she has developed and the doctor said it is slap cheek disease. Of course, as soon as she said the word disease I was worried, but it's just a virus that will run it's course. So, no need to panic.
Afterwards, we headed to Burlington to look at big girl car seats for Myla. Of course, none we liked. So, we headed to Friendly's for lunch and this happened....

After lunch, we headed to Kmart and found the perfect car seats and decided to buy Myla a toy. I mean she does deserve a toy after being sick, right?! We decided she needed some trucks since she LOVES to play with trucks at my parents house on Sundays with Jayden. And, she LOVED them....

We relaxed the rest of the day by watching movies. Great holiday!

Weekend Recap - February 15-16, 2014

Saturday was an extremely lazy day for us. Brian had a cold and well, I'm pregnant. Good excuse, right? Anyways, we did make it out for a little bit to get groceries, but other than that, it was couches and cuddles all day long!!! On Sunday, we went to my parents like usual. A family friend came over for a while and then we took our trip to Food Lion. Mom made goulash for dinner and we all hung out and played with the kids. I love hanging out on Sundays!

Valentine's Day 2014

Today was Myla's first Valentine's Day and I must say she looked sooooooo LOVABLE!!!!

Before I headed to work, we gave Myla her presents. She got a balloon, which she loved, a crazy singing owl, and a striped monkey stuffed animal. It took her a while to like the owl, but warmed up to him eventually...haha!!

I headed off to work and didn't expect anything to be delivered because I NEVER get flowers from Brian. He doesn't believe in flowers. So, I sat waiting for nothing in my office and then BAM here comes a delivery for me. It was even better than flowers.....a dozen chocolate covered strawberries and they were AMAZING!!!!

I treated myself to lunch at Pancho with my friend/co-worker, Resa. A girl can always eat some chips and salsa! After work, I met Brian at Splitsville where he left his car and we headed to dinner. We were going to go to Logan's, but the line was ridiculous and I was starving. So, we decided to head to the Pizzeria. Brian always wants to eat there and it sounded yummy to me. We were the only ones there so it ended up being quite romantic...haha! We were just happy to have an evening out alone to just enjoy each other. Brian's dad was watching Myla at our house for the first time. I was nervous, but they did great!
Here's my hunny at dinner....

After dinner, we headed back to Splitsville and Brian had went all out for the expensive tickets in the upper section. We sat at the bar until time for our movie and I had a shirley temple and Brian had a few long islands. Nice and relaxing, but at this point, frankly, I was just tired. We have had an exhausting week with Myla being sick and I really just wanted to go home. But, we went on in to the movie. I hated it right off the bat. We were seeing Winter's Tale and I fell asleep within 20 minutes.....hahahaha! I have NEVER done that before. I woke up with about an hour left of the movie and I caught up pretty quick. The end was better than the beginning, but this definitely wasn't a movie I would recommend! After that, we headed home. Myla was already asleep and everything had gone great for Grandpa Jerry. We headed straight to bed. Brian seemed to be catching a cold and I was so tired I could barely hold my eyes open. Even though our Valentine's involved steak and cheese subs at a pizzeria and a crappy movie, it was nice to spend the evening with my hubby. I did, however, miss this baby girl and couldn't wait to wake up and kiss her Good Morning!

Myla is 8 months old!

My baby girl is 8 months old! This seems so close to a year and it's crazy!!!!!
Here are the little ladies stats.....

Sleeping: Lately, she has been giving mommy and daddy a run for their money. She still goes to bed on time, but wakes up around 3am and demands to be in bed with us and then gets figgety around 5am and wants to get up at 6am. Man, mommy and daddy are tired!

Eating: Myla is a great eater. She loves all of her baby food, her puffies, and is starting to get more of the hang of the sippy cup. She still won't hold her bottles to drink from them only to play with them.

Milestones: She can go from crawling to sitting and back now and she has gotten really good at it. She reaches out for you to hold her and it's the cutest thing ever. She also cries out for you if you leave the room (not as cute when you are trying to get something done, haha!).

Things You Love: She loves to watch Daddy make silly faces and playing with our iphones. She loves playing on the floor with cousin Jayden and definitely seems more aware that she is playing with him.

And here are her pics...

I'm not sure how much longer she is going to fit in that chair!!!

The Flu & A Snow Day

Yesterday, I dropped Myla off for the day at Nana and Nanny's house. I knew she wasn't feeling well, but today was the last day I had to cut checks before everyone leaves for expo. Needless to say, I had to be at work. Around 11am, Nanny called to tell me Myla had a fever and definitely didn't seem like herself. So, I immediately called the doctor and they wanted to see her today. I scrambled like crazy to finish my checks and headed to pick up my baby girl. We got to the doctors and Myla seemed kind of sick but she really wasn't in that bad of a mood. The nurses came in and checked her for the flu and RSV and when the doc came in, she said Myla had the flu. My heart just sunk. I was thinking she just had a bad cold. I assumed the flu meant lots of throwing up and so I never thought she had the flu. But, she did. The doctor prescribed her tamiflu because luckily we came in within the first 48 hours. I can't imagine if we hadn't because the meds had her back to her happy self by morning. That night, however, when we got home, she was so sick and just wanted to cuddle. I loved and hated it at the same time. I hated for her to be sick, but loved that she actually wanted to snuggle up with me. We tried to feed her dinner and she ate a little, but then she puked two times. That was probably one of the saddest things I have ever seen. I felt so bad for her. She slept with us that night because we were worried about her and I was so happy when she woke up and smiled at me in the morning! And, then we realized we had about 13 inches of snow and both of our works were closed. So, we got to stay home and cuddle and take care of her! Much needed!!!

Weekend Recap - February 7-9, 2014

WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND!!!! I was off on Friday and Myla and I stayed in our pajamas all day! We ordered pizza for dinner when Brian got home and watched our favorite DVR'd shows.

On Saturday, we were up at 7am and headed to the snack bar to have breakfast with my parents before we went to Jayden's soccer practice. Myla loved watching Jayden play and she wanted out there BAD!!!

After soccer, we headed to Burlington to get Myla some new Nike outfits. Brian insists she have these for days he dresses her...hahaha! Then, we headed to my parents house to see D.J. He was home for Saturday afternoon and Sunday. We don't get to see him much, so when he is here we spend every minute we can with him. My dad made us all an awesome dinner and Myla ate her toes...

On Sunday, it was back to my parents house for breakfast. Man, my dad can cook!!!

After we stuffed our faces, we took our weekly trip to Food Lion with Jayden. This time D.J. came with us. He drove Jayden sooooo fast in that cart!!!

We watched the olympics, relaxed, hung out, and ate dinner together. So great to hang out with D.J. before he headed back to Norfolk. He leaves for Arizona and baseball season at the beginning of March, so this may be the last time we see him for a while.
Then, tonight, Myla passed out like this in her crib.....
In case you can't tell, she is laying on top of her hard shelled butterfly and her hardshelled seahorse with her head planted against the crib bars. Looks comfortable, huh?!?

Pulling up!!!

Yesterday, Myla all of a sudden learned to pull herself up to the standing position while holding on to the couch. She was so proud of herself until she fell over! HAHA! Of course, she wouldn't do it again once I got out the video camera, but I did manage to get this cute video.....

And of course, no post is complete without some adorable photos. We were all playing in her room with her different hats.

Happy Wednesday!
