Bryce - 9 months old

Bryce turned 9 months old 2 weeks ago......

In this month, he has said dada a few times. And, I swear one time he said mama. He can pull himself up all by himself and so we lowered his crib. He took his first trip to Kings Dominion and went on his first ride (the teacups). He had his first licks of an ice cream cone and he LOVED it. He is still our great little sleeper - goes to bed around 7pm and sleeps until about 630am (7 sometimes!). He drinks his own bottles now (yes, my kids are slow to hold their bottles). He is the happiest little guy and always makes everyone smile. His helmet is really rounding out his head and he's making great progress. He doesn't like to be contained in anything anymore - no walkers, bouncy seats, or anything. He wants to be on the move. He finally crawls normally and not with an army crawl and HE IS FAST! He weighs 22 pounds (75th %) and is 30 inches tall( 90th %).

And, I'm going to try to get up our Disney World trip and Memorial weekend some time soon!!!!

First family trip to Kings Dominion

Last Saturday, we packed up and headed to Kings Dominion. Brian got us season tickets with the money I made selling all of the baby stuff we no longer need. We cleared out a ton of space and felt like we got the tickets for free - win win! We got to KD right around 10am when the park opened (you know me, I'm always on time!) and we headed in. We took the standard "we are tourists" photos....

Myla seemed super excited and was in aww of everything. It was the cutest. We headed straight for the kid section and I was really surprised how much stuff that Myla AND Bryce could ride. Myla was under the 36" limit for some things, but there was alot she could ride on with a parent. (Imagine huge adult squeezed on child size ride!) FUN! But, Bryce got to join in too and we all rode there very first teacups together!

After that, we hitched a ride on the train....

Then the swings....

Then had lunch at a WAY OVERPRICED Chick-fil-a. We will be packing our lunch next time! Then we hit up the small petting zoo. Myla was afraid of everything but the bunny....

Then it was antique car time....

Then we walked through Dinosaur Alive, which I have to say, I think was Myla's favorite part. I didn't think she would even like the dinosaurs much less roar at them and tell them to turn "ON." So cute!

Ok - she didn't like them enough to be eaten by them! HAHA!

Her reaction to the dinosaurs roaring...

Pit stop for some touristy photos....

Then it was carousel time....

Bryce seriously giggled the whole ride. He loved that horsey! After that, we all shared an ice cream cone and Bryce had his first taste. Let's just say he is a little piggy and loved every second of it. We started to head back to the entrance after this as the kids parents were getting tired. We rode the train and swings one more time. This time Brian squeezed in the train. I hadn't mentioned to him how EXTRA TINY the seats were. BWAHAHAHAHA!

On the way out, of course, we had to get Myla something. She has been loving Jayden's walking dog and they had them so....

And then, Coke had a machine set up outside where you could get your name on 2 cans. Of course, Brian and I had to get all of our names....

We lasted until about 2-230pm and headed home. All in all - a GREAT FIRST TRIP!!! I'm so glad I took so many pictures! I'd say it was a success....

And now, on to this weekend!

Doctors and Dentists....

On Wednesday, we had a day full of doctors and dentists. We managed to squeeze in some work and time at the park too. Bryce's appointment went well and his head is growing and rounding out well.

After Bryce's appointment, I went to work for a while and then picked up Myla to go to her first dentist appointment. We were running early, so we stopped at Loriella Park. It was our first time at this park and Myla was so excited when she saw we were at a park. I could hardly keep up with her.....

She loved the park as usual...

The dentist, however, was another story. She wasn't in the greatest mood and did NOT like the dentist. She wouldn't let him look in her mouth, didn't want to sit in the chair, and made nasty faces at him. It was so fun! Haha! I didn't even get a picture because she stay attached to my hip! Oh well....I guess we will try again in 6 months!
