The Weekend before Christmas!

This weekend we spent all day Saturday preparing for the busy week to come. We did some Christmas crafts, cleaned house, and wrapped a bazillion presents!!  We even had some time to hang out on the back deck with the Williams. What a beautiful day!

On Sunday, we had Myla's very first Christmas experience with Grandpa Perry. She loved all of her gifts and had fun watching the Redskins with him.

And now, Myla is ready for Santa!

Weekend Recap - December 13-15, 2013

Friday - Myla had her 6 month check up and baby girl weighed 16 pounds and was 27 1/2 inches long. That's 50th percentile for weight and 70th for height. She had 4 shots and only whimpered for a split second! She is one tough cookie! After her doctors appointment, I took her to Nana and Nanny's house for the day while I went Christmas shopping with my mom. We shopped til we dropped and had dinner at Country Cookin. It was a fun day!

Saturday - We lazed around for a bit then headed to town to do some Christmas shopping with Myla. We ate lunch at the food court in the mall and then shopped some more. We dropped Myla off with my parents around 4pm so we could go to annual Alex and Megan Christmas party. We had a blast! Especially me, because I wasn't the DD!! Here's our white elephant present which will come in handy this summer...

And here's our new ornament....

We got this while shopping not randomly at the white elephant exchange....haha!

Sunday - Even though we were out late, I still woke up early and wanted to go get Myla. We ended up staying at my parents, watching the Redskins, and stuffing our faces! Perfect Sunday! Oh, and Myla tried baby puffs, a sippy cup, and real applesauce!

Myla is 6 months old!

I seriously can not believe how fast time flies by! Today marks the half year birthday of our little baby girl. She is the happiest and sweetest baby ever! I guess I could be a little bias though. Here's how things are going at 6 months.....

Sleeping - She has been sleeping through the night now for most nights and that's from about 7:30pm to 7am. We had to do a few nights of some pretty tough cry it out sessions to get to this, but it was worth it. If she wakes now in the middle of the night, she usually puts herself back to sleep within a few minutes. Let's hope I didn't just jinx myself! When she wakes up in the morning, she is still her happy self. She plays, coos, and talks in her crib until I go get her. She loves the morning time!

Eating - She is now eating around 4-5 7 ounce bottles per day plus a serving of baby food at lunch time and dinner time. She now loves peas, green beans, squash, and sweet potatoes. Some fruits are growing on her too like apples, pears, and peaches. She still hates bananas!

Things you love - She still loves her laugh and play puppy the best. It lights up and sings and she is really into things that do that. I can't wait to give her her Christmas presents and see how much she loves them. Other than that, she loves to ride around in her Jeep and roll around on the floor. She is really into cell phones too!

Milestones & Random Things - She can now sit up for big amounts of time before she falls over and she can walk all around the house in her walker. She has mastered saying Daaaa Daaaaaa Daaaaaa and it's so cute! She weighs 16 pounds and is 27 1/2 inches long (50th and 70th percentiles).

Here's her 6 month photo shoot...

And here's a recap of the last 6 months...

Boy, time flies!
Happy half year, baby girl! We love you more than words could ever express!

Myla says Dada.....

Or Daaaaaaa. Daaaaaaa. Daaaaaaa. She has definitely mastered this the last few days and it sounds so cute. I actually love it because now I tell Brian she is calling for him...haha! I don't think she knows what she is saying but it's gets him to change her diapers! Haha! And now, back to practicing Mama with her!!

Myla's first snow!

It started snowing around 10am this morning!!! Brian and I both had off work because the federal government was closed. They knew the snow, sleet, and rain was coming. Brian went to get us McDonald's for breakfast and then Myla and I headed over to hang out with Stef and Jayden. We played in the snow and then Myla and Jayden took their first bath together! So cute! After their bath, it was nap time and Myla and I headed home to relax! What a great day!

Christmastown 2013

We packed up and headed to Christmastown in Williamsburg with 18 days til Christmas!!

We left early in the morning on Saturday and headed to pick up Nana and Nanny. We hit the road around 9am once the car was all loaded up. Myla slept most of the way to Williamsburg.

We made our first stop at the Hathaway's house and chatted with them for about an hour. After that, we all headed to the NY Deli for lunch. I had a cheeseburger sub. Brian had the steak and cheese and Myla had peas. Next, we checked in to our hotel and got all bundled up for Christmastown. DJ and Cayte met us there and we all had lots of fun looking at the beautiful lights and decorations. Myla enjoyed everything and was so good even in the cold. She was so bundled up and looked like a little snow bunny. This may be my favorite picture of all time....

We all ate at the smokehouse in Busch Gardens for dinner. We rode the Verbolten roller coaster two times and even rode the teacups!!

Around 9pm, we decided to head back to the hotel. Myla slept in the bed with us and we all snuggled up and kept warm. Here are some more pics from the trip...

Oh and Brian won myla her first stuffed animal. He challenged DJ to throw snowballs at a moving snowman and he hit 2 out of 3. DJ lost and I don't think Brian will ever let him live it down!

On Sunday morning, we woke up and watched cartoons with Myla while we packed up. She loves her Mickey Mouse!

We ate breakfast at Mama Steve's with Ashton and Josh before we headed home. It started sleeting around 20 minutes out of Fredericksburg, but we made it home safe and sound.
