Our weekend - March 20-22, 2015

This weekend started on Thursday evening for me and the kiddos since I had off on Friday. And these wild party animals found their new favorite toy....the doorstop.

On Friday, we woke up, scarfed down some breakfast, and then headed to Bryce's doctor to get his booster flu shot. He cried for .3 seconds and was over it. Such a little man! Afterwards, we headed to the mall to do some shopping and to let Myla play in the play place. She can now climb up all of the slides by herself and she absolutely loved being with all the other kids. Until.....she saw the exit, took one look at mommy, and ran! And I mean ran the fastest her little self has EVER ran! She was half way into Spencer's before Bryce and I caught her. Imagine me, holding Bryce, chasing a toddler through Spencer's while my purse and cell phone are sitting on the bench in the play place! I'm sure the people in the play place got a good kick out of that! Needless to say, I had a little talk with her explaining that we don't do that and that if she did it again we would have to leave. Well, about 20 minutes later, she got up the nerve to test the waters again. This time I saw the look in her eye so I had gotten up and was ready. However, she still made it out into the hallway. So, I kept my word and bundled her back up into the stroller and headed off. She cried and screamed and put on a great show for all of the other parents. Oh, so fun! She is definitely testing her limits lately. After that, I was exhausted, but decided to wander around the mall until Brian met us for lunch. We looked in a few stores, Myla rode the carousel, and Bryce drank lots of bottles.

Brian and Myla ate Chick-fil-a in the food court and I had Great Steak & Potato. Myla was getting pretty tired and so headed home after lunch. Both kids passed out within minutes of the ride home. Once we got home, we relaxed and watched tv until Brian left for his football games.
On Saturday, we headed to Myla's soccer. She has learned a lot from soccer and the coaches. She is listening much better (despite the mall running incident haha) and she plays well with the other little kids. She has grown to be a way bigger fan of  the bubbles than she was at the beginning and she also loves the parachute thing they do. She loves to just run around and kick the balls with all of the other kids and it's still so so cute! After soccer, my mom picked me up and we headed out for some shopping. Brian kept the kiddos and took them to see his sister and Josh who were in town and they all had lunch together. My mom and I hit up Marshall's and Ross and then Kohl's. We were exhausted after a few hours and then my dad met us at Logan's for dinner. We had the BEST dinner ever. Fried mushrooms, loaded potato skins, fried shrimp, steaks, mashed potatoes, salads, and baked potatoes!!!! Yeah, it was good! We headed home and mom and dad came inside when they dropped me off and we sat outside with the kiddos for a while enjoying the nice weather.
On Sunday, the kids and I headed to my parents. We ate breakfast, played at the park, and headed to town to pick up Stef and James a new dryer. We ate dinner at Tropical Smoothie Cafe and then headed to Carl's for dessert. Yummy! I had Myla's hair all up in pigtails and she just looked super cute....

Counting down the days until next weekend!!!

Myla goes to the movies...

This weekend Myla went out on the town without her little brother and she got the undivided attention of Mommy and Daddy! We dropped off Bryce with Grandpa Perry and headed to the 11am showing of Cinderella. Technically, the second time Myla has been in a theatre, but really her first time there to actually watch a movie! We bought her her own popcorn tray and pink lemonade and she was in awe. She wanted to run around in the aisle before the lights went out, but for the most part she did really great. Once the lights were out and the previews came on, she stared at the screen and chomped on her popcorn. When the Frozen preview came on she did NOT move a muscle! Once Cinderella started, she did get a little antsy pants and I could tell she was getting tired. She made it about half way through the movie before she passed out on me. This worked out great. I was thinking we would have to leave mid-movie because I didn't think she would make it through the whole thing, but since she fell asleep, Brian and I got to enjoy the whole movie!

After the movie, we headed to Cheeburger Cheeburger for some lunch. Myla didn't mind that the end of the movie ended her nap and she was in a great mood. Myla got her very own strawberry banana milkshake and grilled cheese that came in a boxed car. Brian and I each got cheeseburgers. Pretty good. Then it was off to pick up our little munchkin, Bryce. He did great without us. We swung by Tifanie's place for the first time on the way home. Myla got into a little trouble there! She pulled away from Daddy and knocked over a wax candle on herself. I'm thankful that she was ok and that her scalp wasn't burnt. I sent up a TON of thank yous that night for keeping my little girl safe. When we got home, we had fun trying to get all the dried wax out of her hair. She looked like a mini grandma because it was coating her hair white. I wish I would have taken a pic. How's that for a day?!

Bryce is 7 months old!

The months are flying by! Bryce is already 7 months old!

He is officially army crawling allllll over the place. It is one of the cutest things ever. He has had his first taste of apple juice and used a sippy cup. We are going to start doing this more and introduce some puffies and finger foods soon. He has been teething for a while now, but still no teeth. They seem like they could poke through any day now. In the meantime, he soaks about 500 bibs a day! He is almost sitting up by himself. He can pretty much do it, but gets tired and falls over within a minute of two. He still loves all food and has tried most of the stage 2 foods now. He hasn't met any one that he doesn't like! He is a great eater. He loves his big sis and she can get quite the giggles out of him. His new favorite game is for her (or anyone) to say BOO! and he just laughs and laughs. He is still a pretty awesome sleeper. He goes to bed around 7 at night and sleeps until pretty much 6-7am every day with maybe a passy trip in there a time or two. He is wearing 9-12 month clothes now. The boy grows out of his clothes so fast! He is officially in his big boy car seat. Thank goodness because carrying that car seat around was killing my arms and back! He loves going outside just like his sister and will just sit in your lap and look all around. He loves stroller rides and going to his sister's soccer practices too! Overall, he is the happiest little baby. Here are his 7 month photos (which are getting harder and harder to photograph!)
