Myla - 11 months old!

This is the last one before she turns ONE!!!!! Wow, this year has flown by!

Sleeping:  She is back on track with her sleeping schedule. She sleeps from around 8:30pm to 7:00am lately and mommy couldn't be happier! She still needs her night time bottle and to be held by mommy in order to fall asleep and sometimes she wakes up when I put her in the crib, but for the most part she rolls over and stays asleep ALL night. In the morning, she usually just sits and plays in her crib until I go get her and on the rare occasion she wakes up, stands up, and cries for me to come get her.

Eating: She has tried all kinds of foods this past month and is definitely eating about 70% "real" food and probably 30% baby purees. She loves scrambled eggs, waffles, green bean puree, bread, pea puree, corn, mac-n-cheese, hot dogs, and especially PUFFIES! If you grab the bottle of puffies, she instantly smiles. She won't let you eat anything anymore without feeding her. She has had her own McDonald's happy meal and loves french fries like her mommy.  She also loves to share ice cream with you. On to bigger news, she ONLY drinks real MILK now!!! NO MORE FORMULA!!! We switched over at 10 months and never looked back. She instantly liked milk and we didn't have any problems switching her over. SO HAPPY!!!!

Milestones: Myla can walk!!! She is still lazy and only does it when she wants to, but she can definitely walk. It's pretty cute too! She seems so tiny and wobbly to be able to walk! This was the biggest milestone this month along with starting real milk. She doesn't have any more teeth, but I'm sure they are coming. She also was sick again this month. She had pink eye, a sinus infection, and a serious few days of bad eczema. Poor baby girl has had a runny nose for weeks. She definitely has allergies as well.

Things She Loves: She loves to play with her little laptop and her red car again. It's funny how she stopped playing with them for a month or two and now has rediscovered them. She loves to take off every single DVD from the bookshelf and throw them on the floor....haha. She has become attached to a little pink bunny at Nana and Nanny's house and runs/crawls for it every morning. At my parents house, she has fallen in love with the green four-wheeler and loves to push it around and has even learned how to get on it by herself.

Pics:

Only one we could get with monkey this month!

Little DIVA is tired!

WOW...the change is incredible!
Man, these monthly photos are soooo hard to do now! She does NOT want to sit still! I can't believe how big she is now though and that she can climb in to her chair all by herself and even knows how to rock it.

Brian's Birthday Weekend

The hubby turned 29 this past weekend and we had lots of fun celebrating. On Friday, I was off with Myla and we headed to town to do some birthday shopping. We headed to Sports Authority and then the mall. We got Daddy some presents and even got ourselves a little something too. Did you really think I could go to the mall without getting something for myself and Myla?! Haha! Anyhoo, after shopping, we headed to meet my mom for lunch at KFC. And let me tell you, Myla loves some KFC. She ate a whole biscuit and all of her mashed potatoes. Of course, she wouldn't eat her green beans again! The chick loves her bread and potatoes though! Oh well, we will keep trying.

Such a happy girl!!! After lunch, we headed home and Myla passed out in the car seat. I had scheduled for the A/C man to come out since our A/C hasn't been working all week and he was early!! Imagine that!! But, he had bad news...we need a whole new unit. Ugh! It is always something! But, oh well, such is life. Brian got home shortly after he left and we gave him all of his presents since we would be leaving early in the morning for the Nationals game. Myla liked to play with the bags and tissue paper and Brian seemed semi-impressed with his gifts. Brian left shortly after for his football games and Myla and I stayed home and relaxed. We had a hard day shopping!!
On Saturday, Brian's birthday, we headed to drop Myla off with Nana and Nanny around 11am and picked up his sister, Dad, and Mark. We headed up north and met up with Chilly, his son, and Jen and Chris at Glory Days Grill for lunch. I had the most amazing cheese fries and a raw hamburger. After we stuffed our faces, sang Brian happy birthday, and enjoyed lots of laughs we were off to the game. We got to the stadium around 3 for the 4pm game. It was military appreciation day and pups in the park too, so it was quite busy! Dogs everywhere! The Nats lost, but we all still had fun. We sat in the front row right between right and center field. So, we had a close up view of Werth and Span.

The weather was gorgeous! It was nice to be outside. We got back home around 9:30pm. Myla spent the night with Nana and Nanny and so, Brian and I got to sleep in Sunday!! If that isn't a great birthday present I don't know what is! Once we got up, I was ready to go get Myla. It's crazy how much I need a break sometimes, but as soon as I get one I miss her like crazy and just can't wait to go get her. We headed to town around 11am to get her and head to lunch with Brian's mom, Nana, and sister for his birthday lunch/dinner. We ate way too much food at the Mad Crab. But, it was delicious! Afterwards, we headed home and played in the driveway with Myla and her Jeep while we waited for the guy to come buy our pavers we had for sale.

Again, the weather was just super nice. After he left, I headed to my parents. We had salad for dinner and then decided to head to Burger King for some Hershey sundae pies for dessert. Then, we stopped by the Williams house to see Jayden. And, I guess Stef and James too! They were outside working on their pathway and we watched Jayden play super hero baseball and Myla walked around on the porch with Jayden's dirt bikes. What a great way to end the weekend. Overall, I'd say Brian had a great birthday and it was a wonderful weekend full of friends and family. Thank you to everyone for everything to make Brian's birthday special!!

And tonight, I promise I'm going to get up Myla's 11 month update!

Weekend Recap - May 2-4, 2014

This weekend started off on Thursday evening when my sister and Jayden came over for dinner and an evening stroll around the park. Brian cooked some awesome BBQ chicken legs on the grill and I made some Kraft Mac-n-cheese and corn (yeah, I'm awesome!). We all ate on the picnic table and enjoyed the weather. Then, we hit up the bike path in the park and the swings. Myla still loves to swing! We came back in and Jayden and Myla took a bath together and then headed home. I put Myla to bed and then lights out for me too.
On Friday, I was off and was extremely lazy all day long. I did manage to do some laundry, but pretty much I was planted on the couch or taking care of Myla.

It was nice for Myla and I to get some rest since we have both had colds this week. Around 5, we headed to my parents house for dinner. Why cook for outselves, right?! Jayden was there and we all hung out for a bit. Myla took 3 steps to my mom unassisted. HER FIRST STEPS!!! After we came down from that high, we came home and hit the sack.
On Saturday, Myla woke up around 7am (her normal time) and we put her in our bed and she fell back to sleep until 10am!!!!!!!! 10am, people!!!!! Oh, it was wonderful and much needed!!! We had some waffles for breakfast and then headed to the couch. We played with Myla and kept making her walk between me and Brian. She is the cutest happy little wobbly walker you have ever seen. She definitely is getting the hang of it! Brian decided to take his mom out for an early Mother's Day movie and dinner, so I stayed home with Myla. I was admittedly in a poo mood. These preggo hormones are no joke. I had no reason to feel so blah, but all day I didn't want to do anything, cried at the drop of a hat, and just felt overall depressed. Ugh! I pretty much lazed around all day again and played with Myla. She made me smile...

On Sunday, I woke up and felt much better! Thank goodness! I was ready to have my "Amy" day and do whatever I wanted. It was Brian's turn for daddy duty! But first, we went to Walmart to get the weekly groceries. Oh so fun..haha! After that, I packed up my stuff and headed to my sister's house. I put on my big ole maternity bathing suit, grabbed my lawn chair, and headed for the sun! We layed outside and watched Jayden play and James build their new sidewalk. Come 2pm, it was time to turn on Mudcats radio and listen to my brother pitch. It was so nice relaxing outside and getting some sun on these white legs! Around 5, I headed home and we ordered Chinese, watched some tv, and headed to bed early!

Cinco de Mayo!!

Was rough!

Myla can WALK!!!!

This weekend was a HUGE milestone. On Friday night, Myla walked about 2 steps to my mom while we were at their house and then on Saturday morning she walked about a million times between me and Brian. I seriously think this is the cutest thing EVER and can't wait for her to get the hang of it more!!! Here's a little video....

Baby #2 - 23 Weeks!

Date: May 1, 2014

Size of Baby: papaya....seems so small compared to the size of my belly...hahaha!

Cravings/Aversions: ummm, can you guess?!? ICE COFFEE! But, just to be clear, only vanilla from Burger King will do! So, anyone want to buy me a BK gift card?! hehe....Also, mini eggs and lots of them!

What I'm Loving: The weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sunshine makes me happy and this past weekend we enjoyed LOTS of it. The rain this week can go away, but I can't complain too much because it's still warm. I'm also loving seeing how Myla is changing so much lately. She is developing quite the personality and the interactions with Jayden are becoming even cuter.

What I'm Anticipating: All of the holidays that are fast approaching....My Dad's birthday, Brian's birthday, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, and Myla's First Birthday!!! WHOAH!!!

Missing Anything: A cold beer while sitting outside on the deck or at the lake....

Worries: When I have crazy mornings with Myla, it really makes me wonder how on earth I am going to be able to get two kids ready and out the door in the morning?! I'm sure we will get in to a routine, but the thought of it stresses me out lately!

How I'm Feeling: Ugh!! I came down with a cold this week and man do I need some rest. I was feeling so great over the weekend and then bam! Other than the cold sucking the life out of me, I haven't had any pregnancy symptoms again with this pregnancy and I feel so lucky. I do think that my feet are already starting to swell some when the weather is warmer, but oh well. I will just look rather plumpalicious in my shorts this summer!

Sleep:  Great! Myla is back on her routine of sleeping all night. Now, if only I didn't have to get up to pee!

Movement: Lots of movement and it's awesome! Baby boy loves food and I am guaranteed lots and lots of kicks and rolls about 15 minutes after I eat. Also, I  love right before bed time when he gives me some good night kicks.

Other Thoughts: Nope....
