On Monday night, Myla decided to give Bryce her very own present for his birthday. She decided she would overcome her fear of jumping in the pool and here it is on video...

Bryce is 2!

This little guy turns the big 2 today! He is seriously the happiest, sweetest, most loving and helpful little boy! We celebrated his birthday this past Saturday at the lake with all of our family and friends. He had a blast and definitely was spoiled rotten.

Here are some things about him at this age...

Bryce loves......

 - food - anything!
 - jumping in the pool and playing at the lake.
 - helping out with chores. He loves to clean and help take the trash out.
 - to make you laugh. He will put on a show for you if you are laughing at him.
 - throwing a ball.
 - watching Teletubbies and doing the Teletubbie dance.
 - his sister!
 - to run around like a T-Rex.

Bryce hates......

 - haven't found anything he doesn't love.

Stats....

 - 34.2 pounds and counting!
 - 37" tall (by our measurements)
 - has a few nicknames - Bubby and Brycie-boo

And now for some more pictures from his birthday party....

And one more professional picture to capture him at this awesome age...

He is so perfect! I love you, Bryce and Happy 2nd Birthday!

Celebrating Myla

Monday was Myla's birthday and I took off work so that I could spend the whole day with her! She was super excited when I told her that we were just dropping Bryce off with Nana and that she could go anywhere she wanted. She decided she wanted to go to the playplace. So, to McDonald's we went.

She played and played and then scarfed down 2 pancakes. I asked her what she wanted to do next and said we could go to Kings Dominion if she wanted. She was ok with that idea! So to Kings Dominion we went. She wants to ride roller coasters and not baby ones. This girl is a total dare devil!!! I had to find rides that she was tall enough to do, but weren't in the baby section. She was tall enough to ride the log ride and talk about LOVE. She wanted to ride it again. Then we rode the birds that fly really high and swing back and forth and she was just so happy. We made it to the water park and she swam in the wave pool for a long time. She just loves the water.

Snoopy is the only character she would take a picture with or hug. Charlie Brown and Lucy were a definite NO! haha! She loves to ride the ponies (the carousel) and wanted to take a pic with "Snow White's" apple. This kid and her princesses! We had a great time and left around 3. The plan was to meet Daddy and Bryce for a birthday dinner, but Myla fell asleep on the ride and woke up ANGRY! She did NOT want it to be her birthday anymore and did NOT want to eat dinner. She wanted to go to the park! Geez - where do they get this energy? So, we decided to stop for nuggets on the way home and take her to the park. She played with Bryce (a rarity) and actually held his hand on the way to the park.

We got home. Gave them both baths and then decided to give her her presents from us and sing her happy birthday with her cookie cake.

And here's a little video of us singing and her blowing out her candles...
Happy Birthday Video!

It was a wonderful day!!!

Myla is 3!

Myla turned 3 on Monday and I couldn't let her birthday pass without a blog post. I use this place as a sort of personal journal and as a way for me to remember how her and Bryce are at each age.

Myla loves.....

  - ALL of the Disney princesses (especially Jasmine)
  - to lick the cream out of the middle of oreo's
  - to sleep with Mommy and Daddy
  - orange chips, chocolate milk, and pizza rolls
  - playing pretend chef with her pots and pans
  - swimming
  - spending the night with Nana and Nene

Myla says...

  - "blan-ka-let" for blanket
  - "I wuvs you" for I love you
  - "That's not my fav-rite" - when you put the "wrong" outfit on her
  - "I seep wif you mommy?" (every night she wants to sleep with us)
  - "you chicken head" - her best insult for when you do something she doesn't like

Myla hates....

  - having her toenails cut
  - her brother - 99% of the time!

I will be back tomorrow with how we celebrated her birthday on Monday and then next week I will blog about her birthday party that is this Saturday! Can't wait!

Halloween 2015

Yes, I'm just now posting our Halloween recap. Better late than never, right?

As you can see, Bryce was Superman and Myla was Cinderella. Myla was very into Halloween this year and she asked every day for two weeks if she could wear her Cinderella dress and shoes. So, you can imagine, she was extremely happy when it was finally Halloween. Luckily, this year, Halloween was on a Saturday and boy does that help out the working mommas! We got to spend the whole day lounging and then getting ready for all of our guests. We made dinner for Nana, Nene, Tifanie, cousin Graysen, Mawmaw, Pawpaw, Aunt Tef-Tef, Uncle James, and cousin Jayden. It was so nice to relax and be able to take our time eating instead of everything being so rushed when it's on a weeknight. After dinner, we transformed the kids into princesses and superheroes and headed out trick or treating. Myla did so good saying trick or treat and then proceeding to grab like 100 pieces of candy out of each bowl. HAHA! Bryce walked for a while and seemed to really enjoy it too. At one point, this happened and holy cuteness!

If you know Myla, this is a rarity! She definitely was playing the big sister role and helped him a lot on the way from house to house. We last for about an hour and a half and then made our way back home. Our street is extremely busy on Halloween and so we got to hand out candy too for about a half hour. It was nice to all relax and chit chat in the driveway and watch Myla roar like a lion trying to scare all of the trick or treaters. It's so neat trick or treating on the same streets that I did as a kid, but now it's with my sister and our children. Makes me happy! Here are some more pics which include a shot of the cutest firefighter EVER!

Oh and that blow up kitty cat - the biggest hit EVER with Myla. She loves the blow up things and even though I don't like them at all I had to get her one!

Welcome to the family, Pebbles!

Yep, I went crazy and let Brian get a puppy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The look on Myla's face pretty much says it all! We were going to just "look" at puppies on the way to my brother's house this past Saturday and as you can tell the rest is history. I think I've lost my mind but I also see how this little puppy is bringing so much joy to my babies and well that makes all of the work worth it. I recently saw this quote and it pretty much sums up my life - "If you think my hands are full, you should see my heart!"
