Halloween 2015

Yes, I'm just now posting our Halloween recap. Better late than never, right?

As you can see, Bryce was Superman and Myla was Cinderella. Myla was very into Halloween this year and she asked every day for two weeks if she could wear her Cinderella dress and shoes. So, you can imagine, she was extremely happy when it was finally Halloween. Luckily, this year, Halloween was on a Saturday and boy does that help out the working mommas! We got to spend the whole day lounging and then getting ready for all of our guests. We made dinner for Nana, Nene, Tifanie, cousin Graysen, Mawmaw, Pawpaw, Aunt Tef-Tef, Uncle James, and cousin Jayden. It was so nice to relax and be able to take our time eating instead of everything being so rushed when it's on a weeknight. After dinner, we transformed the kids into princesses and superheroes and headed out trick or treating. Myla did so good saying trick or treat and then proceeding to grab like 100 pieces of candy out of each bowl. HAHA! Bryce walked for a while and seemed to really enjoy it too. At one point, this happened and holy cuteness!

If you know Myla, this is a rarity! She definitely was playing the big sister role and helped him a lot on the way from house to house. We last for about an hour and a half and then made our way back home. Our street is extremely busy on Halloween and so we got to hand out candy too for about a half hour. It was nice to all relax and chit chat in the driveway and watch Myla roar like a lion trying to scare all of the trick or treaters. It's so neat trick or treating on the same streets that I did as a kid, but now it's with my sister and our children. Makes me happy! Here are some more pics which include a shot of the cutest firefighter EVER!

Oh and that blow up kitty cat - the biggest hit EVER with Myla. She loves the blow up things and even though I don't like them at all I had to get her one!

Welcome to the family, Pebbles!

Yep, I went crazy and let Brian get a puppy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The look on Myla's face pretty much says it all! We were going to just "look" at puppies on the way to my brother's house this past Saturday and as you can tell the rest is history. I think I've lost my mind but I also see how this little puppy is bringing so much joy to my babies and well that makes all of the work worth it. I recently saw this quote and it pretty much sums up my life - "If you think my hands are full, you should see my heart!"

Pumpkin patchin...

Last Saturday, we loaded up the kids, the Nana, the Nene, and the Sissy and headed to the pumpkin patch! Snead's Farm has become sort of our family tradition. We have been there every year since Myla was born with Brian's mom and grandmom and this year his sister joined us too.

Isn't that just awesome?! I love having the same pics year by year! My little babies look so grown...
Ok back to the pumpkin patch talk. The weather this year was absolutely GORGEOUS! We all had a great time especially the kids! This was the first year that both kids could walk run around and enjoy all of the fun things to do. Bryce was still a little wobbly over the vines in the pumpkin patch, but he loved it none the less. They both loved the swings, the hay, the animals, and the "punkins."

After all that fun, we took our chances and headed to lunch at Cracker Barrel. Probably wasn't the best idea, but....

After lunch, we were headed home and then Brian talked us into stopping at Petco to look at the puppies. He is on a puppy mission! They had the cutest little chihuahuas there and let's just say I now have puppy fever, but hey better than baby fever! HAHA! We had some sweet frog, went to look at more pups, then headed home. We had a long, but super fun day!

Road trip!

Over labor day weekend, Myla and I took a road trip to Pennsylvania. We headed up there with my parents to see my baby brothers last game of the season. Brian and Bryce had a guys weekend at home. I have no clue what they did, but Myla and I had a wonderful time. We hung out at the pool. We saw D.J. pitch an awesome game to close out the season. I drank too much. Myla played too much. We laughed. We took crazy selfies. We had toddler melt downs. Myla made friends and played with her cousin Jayden. We ate awesome food. Someone passed out at a bar. All in all, it was a great trip!
