Easter Weekend 2015

We had a wonderful Easter weekend. It was Bryce's first Easter and the first Easter that Myla could actually hunt for eggs. Super exciting! On Saturday, we woke up bright and early and headed to Myla's last soccer practice of the season. Mawmaw and Pawpaw came to watch and Myla did great. She has come so far from the first practice back in January. She can play freeze and red light/green light and actually stops now. She can do the obstacle course all by herself without mommy's hand to help and she listens much better than at the beginning. I'm sad to see it be over, but I'm happy to be able to enjoy the upcoming spring/summer Saturday mornings at home! After soccer, we headed home and got both babies bathed and into their best outfits to go see the Easter bunny.

Myla didn't like the bunny this year and we didn't get a very good pic. Oh well! Bryce, on the other hand, could have cared less!

After meeting the bunny, we waiting for the egg hunt to begin. Cousin Graysen was in the age group with Myla and Bryce and Jayden was in the 3-5 age group. Waiting for the egg hunt was torture for poor little Myla and the wind was torture for the adults!

Once the hunt started, Myla gathered her eggs like a pro....

And Bryce, well he......

He loved it! He like to chew on his eggs! After the fun was over, we went to watch Jayden's age group.

Then, we took some photos....

Then took the long walk home. Ha!

At home, we had a cupcake snack...

Opened Easter baskets from Grandpa Jerry and pretended we were bunnies....

 And, dyed some eggs....

After everyone left, we took Myla out to ride around in her jeep while we waited for Nana and Nene and Bryce napped....

Of course, Nana and Nene brought the kiddos baskets too.

Then we headed to the Clubhouse for an excellent dinner. Myla and Bryce were well-behaved and I got to chow down on a prime rib! Yummy! We got home around 7, tucked the kids in, and the Easter bunny came!

I'm starting to really love the eve of holidays. It's so much anticipation waiting for the kids to wake up and see their stuff. I love to see their faces in the morning. We woke up Easter morning and took the kids out to see their baskets....

They both loved their baskets. Myla loved her chapstick and chair the most. She cried when I had to take away the chapstick because she was applying it to EVERYTHING! haha! Bryce loved his eggs and chewing on them! It was a great morning! The kids and I headed to my parents afterwards to have breakfast and for me to get my basket, of course! Then we took the kids out to do another egg hunt and played in the yard until late in the afternoon. The weather was GORGEOUS! Myla and Bryce are just like their momma and LOVE it outside. I couldn't have had a happier day. Dad grilled us some hot dogs and mom made her baked beans and mac-n-cheese!

We headed home around 6:30pm after dinner and bath time for Myla. Brian put Bryce to bed and Myla and I quickly zonked out on the couch. We were exhausted!!! It was a fun-filled weekend!

Toodles!
