This seems like a big one to me.....she is soooo close to being a year old!!!
Sleeping: Myla did seem to be back on track with her sleeping schedule before she got sick and since then it has been madness! She was sleeping perfectly from around 7:30pm each night to around 6am in her OWN bed, but since she has been sick it's been up at 10pm and cry until mommy and daddy cave and bring her into our bed. She's teething really badly and seems to just want the comfort of being with us and when she had the flu I didn't want to make her cry it out. It seems she has gotten used to the bed though, so we are going to have to have a few sleepless nights ahead to get her back in her bed!
Eating: We have been trying to give her more "real" food this month. She loves sipping out of our straw and loves french fries, bread, blueberry muffins, and goulash. She was sitting on my lap while I was eating goulash at my parents and snuck a huge bite before I noticed. She loved it and giggled away. She knows when you are eating food now and pretty much begs for some. So cute! She also LOVED sucking on a strawberry!
Milestones: She had her first real sickness....the flu. Luckily, I took her to the doctor right away and they prescribed her Tamiflu. It knocked it out really quick. She still has the runny nose and has slap cheek disease, which is just a virus that will go away in a few weeks. Seeing her so sick was heart wrenching. But, she also had some good things this month. She hung out with her Grandpa Perry alone for the first time on Valentine's Day while Mommy and Daddy had a date night. And, she got her first big girl car seat. Here's to NOT hauling that heavy car seat in and out anymore!!! She can also pulls herself up to the standing position frequently and even attempts to scoot along the side of the couch. After this discovery, we decided we better lower your crib! Just the other night, she took her first walk with her little walker toy and she thought it was soooo fun. She had her first toothy pop through the other day as well. You can hardly see it, but you can definitely feel it. Also, this month, she had her first overnight slumber party with Nana and Nanny on the weekend that we moved in to our NEW house!!! (post about that to come) This month has had HUGE milestones!!
Things you Love: She LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on tv. Nana and Nanny had been telling me how she loves that show, but I didn't realize her fascination. As soon as you turn it on, she stares at it and then starts giggling. Adorable! She loves to pinch Peanut and Prissy and watch them play. And, she gets a kick out of watching Daddy or Mommy dance and act like a fool....haha!! She also loves crawling all around at the new house and exploring.....it's much easier on her with the carpeting.
