I suck at blogging!! (Summer Catch Up - part 1)

Well, it's been months since I have blogged and frankly, I suck! I can't believe how fast time goes by and how quickly not only days and weeks, but months go by. I have decided to recommit myself to blogging....starting now! Hopefully, I can make it a weekly habit and if not, at least monthly. Here goes nothin'!

Here's a recap of the last few months....

1. I had a baby!!! Her name is Myla and she is gorgeous! She weighed a whopping 9 pounds and was 19 inches long. I was in labor for days and pushed for 3 hours before she decided to come out on June 13th!!! Ouch! Here is one of her hospital photos.....

2. I was off the whole summer taking care of said baby. I got to spend lots of time with my sister and my nephew too. Taking care of a baby is hard work, but I had a great time being with her all day every day. I love lake days and so did Myla....

3. We went to the Redskins training camp with the Childress family. What a blast!!!

4. Took our first road trip as a family to Ohio to visit DJ and watch him pitch in the minor leagues. Myla also swam for the first time at the hotel pool. She was a trooper on the 7 hour trip and we all had so much fun together with my parents and DJ.

Crafty Amy

I don't know what has happened to me, but I've turned into little miss crafty lately! I've been making all sorts of things for Myla's room. First, I made her name with wooden letters and scrapbook paper for above her crib and then I made some artwork to hang in her room. Check me out!!!!

Welcome Spring?!?

It might have been the first day of spring last week, but Mother Nature seems to think it's still winter. Check out the snow we had yesterday....




The snow is really pretty, but I'm over winter and ready for spring!!!! We lost power from the storm and didn't get it back until around 7pm. We had dinner at my parents and here's BriBri having dinner with Jayden....adorable!!!






All in all, it turned out to be an ok day. But now, come on spring!!!

24 Weeks!

Haven't blogged in a while so I thought I would at least post a progress pic of my growing baby bump!

Hello, 2nd trimester!!!

Today, we welcome the 2nd trimester. Woohoo!!! One down, two to go! Sorry, I'm just a little bit excited. With the new trimester, comes the end or morning sickness, fatique, and some other nasty symptoms of your growing baby. Luckily for me, I haven't had ANY of these symptoms so I'm hoping things stay the same. I am looking forward to my belly bump growing in the new few months and have some proof that there is definitely a little nugget in there! We are getting very anxious to find out the sex of baby nugget. The countdown is on - only 36 more days!

Waffles, Shopping, Redskins, and Christmas...oh my!!

The past few weeks have been oh so fun!!! I've spent quality time with my family, my favorite nephew, and my friends. We are all getting into the Christmas spirit and it all started with a trip to see the Christmas tree lighting in Central Park. Brian and I met my sister, James, and Jayden there and loved watching Jayden oh and ah at the lights dancing to music. There is something about having a little one with you to help you experience things with a new perspective. Here are a couple pics:

Next up, a FULL and I mean full day of Christmas shopping with my mom! We started off at 10am with some breakfast to load our tanks and then set out to shop til we dropped. And that we did! We went from store to store, stopped to have a break for dinner with my dad at Lonestar (yummy cheese fries), then headed back out for shopping and shut the mall down at 10pm. Man, did my bed feel good that night. Here's a pic of my delicious strawberry waffle from Tito's Diner..mmmmm.

 

Then on that Sunday, one of my besties, Heather aka Flip, invited me to the Redskins vs. Eagles game!!! WOOHOO!!!! We left early and headed to FedEx so we could tailgate. FYI: tailgating is definitely not as much fun when you can't drink. Preggo's can't have beer! But, I still had a fantastic time and loved spending time with my bestie! Here's some pics from our day:

 

This past weekend was Thanksgiving and we had 4 fun days off. We scarfed down two Thanksgiving dinners in a matter of hours - whoah!! Even my preggo self couldn't handle all that food! My brother was home for the holiday and Cayte came to visit too. We went to dinner and movie on Friday and on Saturday we ALL went bowling to celebrate DJ's 22 birthday. Even Jayden got in on the action. All in all, it's been a wonderful few weeks and I am extremely thankful for all the AWESOME people in my life!

 



Baby Perry due June 10, 2013!!!

Whoah!!!! That was fast, huh?!?! Brian and I are excited to announce that we are pregnant!!! We can't believe it happened so fast, but we are very happy and excited. Over the past few weeks, we have announced our pregnancy to practically everyone on the planet. Yeah, we can't keep a secret! I just started my 9th week of pregnancy and last week we had our first ultrasound. We got to see our little baby and nicknamed him/her "Little Nugget." The name seems fitting since Brian is slightly obsessed with nuggets and loves them so much. If he loves our baby as much as he does nuggets, then this little Perry will be quite loved. HAHAHA! We also got to hear the heartbeat for the first time....simply amazing! At this point, we are super anxious for everything coming our way. We can't wait for my belly to start growing, to find out the sex, to decorate the nursery, to stock up on adorable little outfits, and not to mention to hold our little baby in our arms.
