Weekend Recap - July 10-12, 2015

I was off Friday, so my weekend starts there! My sis and Jayden came over that morning to play/watch Myla while me and Bryce took Peanut to her follow up vet visit. Much easier with one kid at the vet's office! Thanks sis! (Even though, Myla hid from you and ignored you the whole time - HAHA!) Anyways, Peanut had some teeth pulled and some cleaned the week before and the vet needed to make sure all the stitches had healed. Peanut has been feeling MUCH better. She is playing more and seems to be back to her old self. I'm so happy that I had it done. Once we got back home, we decided to head over to the snack bar for lunch. Yummy grilled cheese! We sat outside and enjoyed our favorite neighborhood restaurant. We went back to my house and Bryce was super ready for his nap, so I put him down hoping he would take a quick nap so we could go to the pool. He was passed out FOREVER and Jayden was sick of waiting! I woke him up around 3 and we headed to the pool behind the house. We stayed til 6pm! It was such a nice day and my Dad even stopped by for a few. We headed back home and Brian was making chicken wings. The Williams left, but we chowed down! Super yummy!
Myla in the morning feeding Hulk his breakfast.
On Saturday, we were up and headed to town by 9am to get surprise pictures for Brian's Dad of all his grandkids. We even got a few shots of just Myla and Bryce. Why does my son look like he is in 2nd grade?

Afterwards, we hit up Chick-fil-a and took it back to eat and surprise Grandpa Jerry with the pictures. He was very happy! Around 1pm, we left and headed to Nana and Nene's house. Myla and Bryce were having a sleepover while Mommy and Daddy went to Uncle DJ's baseball game. We headed home to change and then headed to Lynchburg with my Mom and Dad. The ride seemed to take forever, but hey there were no screaming kids! We arrived around 5:30 and got to load up on Hillcats merchandise before the game. DJ was the starting pitcher and he had another GREAT game. That's 3 in a row for him. He is on a great streak! Brian and I consumed a few alot of adult beverages and really enjoyed the game. We stayed up past our bed time and even got to see fireworks after the game!

We didn't get home until 12:30am! Whoah! And boy, did I pay for it Sunday!!!!!!
I got up Sunday, barely, and headed to my parents to eat breakfast while Brian headed to pick up the kids. I was NOT feeling well, but I powered through. HAHA! Brian dropped the kids off with me and he headed home to recooperate. Me and the kids, Pawpaw, Mawmaw, and the Williams all headed to the lake. It was a gorgeous day and we soaked it up. Bryce loved playing in his playpen under the shade tree with Pawpaw and Myla loved playing in the water with Mawmaw. Bryce even fell asleep on a stroller ride and slept for an hour and a half under that shade tree. Mommy wins! Myla took her first jetski ride with Auntie Tef-Tef and Uncle James and it was the cutest!
We assume she liked it. She never said a word and almost fell asleep on it. I guess it was too close to nap time. Oh well! We didn't head back to my parents until 5pm which is late for us on a Sunday. We chowed down on BLT's  made by my Dad and homemade mac and cheese made by my Mom.

WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND!!!

First family trip to Kings Dominion

Last Saturday, we packed up and headed to Kings Dominion. Brian got us season tickets with the money I made selling all of the baby stuff we no longer need. We cleared out a ton of space and felt like we got the tickets for free - win win! We got to KD right around 10am when the park opened (you know me, I'm always on time!) and we headed in. We took the standard "we are tourists" photos....

Myla seemed super excited and was in aww of everything. It was the cutest. We headed straight for the kid section and I was really surprised how much stuff that Myla AND Bryce could ride. Myla was under the 36" limit for some things, but there was alot she could ride on with a parent. (Imagine huge adult squeezed on child size ride!) FUN! But, Bryce got to join in too and we all rode there very first teacups together!

After that, we hitched a ride on the train....

Then the swings....

Then had lunch at a WAY OVERPRICED Chick-fil-a. We will be packing our lunch next time! Then we hit up the small petting zoo. Myla was afraid of everything but the bunny....

Then it was antique car time....

Then we walked through Dinosaur Alive, which I have to say, I think was Myla's favorite part. I didn't think she would even like the dinosaurs much less roar at them and tell them to turn "ON." So cute!

Ok - she didn't like them enough to be eaten by them! HAHA!

Her reaction to the dinosaurs roaring...

Pit stop for some touristy photos....

Then it was carousel time....

Bryce seriously giggled the whole ride. He loved that horsey! After that, we all shared an ice cream cone and Bryce had his first taste. Let's just say he is a little piggy and loved every second of it. We started to head back to the entrance after this as the kids parents were getting tired. We rode the train and swings one more time. This time Brian squeezed in the train. I hadn't mentioned to him how EXTRA TINY the seats were. BWAHAHAHAHA!

On the way out, of course, we had to get Myla something. She has been loving Jayden's walking dog and they had them so....

And then, Coke had a machine set up outside where you could get your name on 2 cans. Of course, Brian and I had to get all of our names....

We lasted until about 2-230pm and headed home. All in all - a GREAT FIRST TRIP!!! I'm so glad I took so many pictures! I'd say it was a success....

And now, on to this weekend!

Our weekend - April 17-19, 2015

Friday was my day off and we started it with a bang....laundry and lots of it! HAHA! We ate breakfast, snuck in some Scandal episodes, played with toys, and got rid of the mounds of laundry. We played on the back deck for a while, and I uttered the words "If you lick the deck one more time, we are going inside!" The things you says to toddlers! Myla had decided she wanted to pour all  of her water on the deck floor and drink it off of that.....geez!!! Once Brian got home, we all got ready and headed to eat at Pancho Villa. We ate outside and enjoyed the awesome weather! I ate a few too many chips and Myla was slightly cranky since she didn't nap all day until she fell asleep when we were almost at the restaurant. Oh, kids! After dinner, Brian took us to Alum Springs Park. I had never been and Myla was once again a happy camper since she got to go down lots of slides and swing. Bryce loved it too. Then, we all headed to Brian's playoff football game. Brian, of course, dressed Bryce is Myla's hand me down Supergoats jersey and I tried to wrangle Myla into the man made cage we created so she couldn't escape. She met a little girl and they played together for a while....cutest thing ever! Her other little buddy (I use the term loosely as they have only hung out one other time I think) Cameron was there and he was trapped in the cage too. They all fought over toys, snacks, and sippy cups and tried to escape the cage, but all in all, they had loads of fun. And so did I. I got to see lots of my girlfriends and was especially excited to see my preggo bestie and her family. It was so good to catch up a bit with her. Brian won and we headed home. It was way past Mommy's the kids bedtime.

On Saturday, we had planned to have a date day. While we were waiting for the "babysitter", Bryce stayed standing at his play table for a lonnnnngggg time. He didn't stand up there on his own. We placed him there, but he stayed up!

Then we decided to take Bryce's overdue 8 month photos and happened to capture some priceless pics....

We headed out around 10am (yes, that is what time you go on a date when you have 2 kids under 2) We were finally going to see Fast & Furious 7. I needed to see my main man crush, duh! I thought the movie was ok (TONS OF ACTION - a bit too much for me) and it made me cry at the end. Of course, we all saw that coming! After the movie and tons of popcorn, we headed to Outback for lunch. Let me tell you - it was soooooooo nice to have a meal at a restaurant that I got to eat while it was hot and I didn't have to share. Can you tell I like my food? HAHA! Don't get me wrong, I love my babies, but boy was this date MUCH needed! Now, if only I could get Brian to stop watching the Nats game that was playing on the tv above my head - HAHA! We stopped by Charlie Brown's closet on the way home to see if they had anything cute for the kiddos and then headed home to our babies. We headed to the park to play because it was just way too gorgeous not to. Myla played on the slides and the swing and Bryce fell asleep in the stroller on the approximate 1 minute walk to the park. Needless to say, he missed out on park time. Then, we all played in the driveway with sidewalk chalk. This was Myla's first time using it and let's just say it does get a little messy, but she had fun.

Hey Brian, is that a pink bag you are carrying?!?

We headed inside around 6pm, did bath time, and bed time. Then, it was time for Brian and I to continue our One Tree Hill marathon. Why are we hooked on this show?!

I LOVE weekend mornings. I love how we get to be lazy and relax in bed. Myla watches Minnie Mouse and Bryce chugs his bottle and we all just get to lay around. It really is so nice not to be rushed to go to work! Anyhoo, Sunday morning included lots of cuddles and relaxing. My parents were out of town watching D.J. play, so we didn't have any plans for the day. Bryce, Myla, and I headed to the back deck because the sun was shining! Bryce drank another bottle and fell asleep and Myla dumped all of her water on the deck again. (at least she didn't try to lick it up today - WIN) I put Bryce inside to sleep and Brian watched him while Myla and I got our tan on. Ok, just me. Myla had other things to do like dumping her water alllllll over the place and trying to sit on Peanut. (poor dog)

The weather started to cool off and so we decided it was time to head to Walmart to get some groceries for the week. We were suckered into buying wayyyyy too many Minnie outfits and swimsuits for Myla. She is going to have enough clothes to wear at Disney for at least 3 outfit changes a day. She is SPOILED. Bryce didn't get anything! Poor kid. (HAHA! They didn't have anything for him....he isn't neglected, I promise) We spent way to much money and headed home.
We put Myla down for her nap and quickly called in chinese delivery for lunch/dinner. (because of course we didn't have any food from the grocery store) We ate and again started a tv marathon. Bryce played quietly on the floor and we relaxed. Once Myla woke up, we did dinner and bath time for the kiddos and this little cutie tried to escape from his mommy.....

I guess he didn't want a diaper put on or was stalling bed time! We all relaxed on the couch, put the kids to bed, and then headed to bed ourselves around 9.
